Itinerary

1. Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu

   • Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be there to welcome you and take you to your hotel in Kathmandu.
   • Get a brief regarding the trek as well as an opportunity to ask any questions regarding the upcoming adventure from your guide.

2. Day 2: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

   • The day starts with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to the tiny airstrip of Lukla. The scenic flight duration is just above 40 minutes, so do not forget to take your cameras. You will have a second chance to take beautiful photos on the way back to Katmandu.
   • Upon landing, while the guides and porters will divide the baggage, you can look around, take pictures and prepare for adventure. Depending on the time we land at Lukla, we might have lunch there.
   • From Lukla, we will walk to Phakding village. The walk is fairly easy, and we can spend our evening strolling around the village.

3. Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

   • Our hike will start after having breakfast. We will start by walking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, and we will have to cross this river twice on the same day.
   • We will then arrive at a small village called Monjo. Monjo is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park.
   • After entering the National Park, we will descend to Bhote Koshi River, arriving at Jorsalle village.
   • We will walk further from there, heading off to Namche Bazaar, a prosperous trade hub in the lap of the Himalayas, also the Khumbu region's capital.

4. Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche

   • After ascending an altitude of 3,440 m (11,253ft), we will use the day for acclimatization. It is very important to have our body prepared for further ascending. You will have the day at your disposal and can choose to do whatever you wish. One option is to walk up to the Everest View Point Hotel and enjoy its view. You can also walk around Namche Bazaar and observe the local proceedings and lifestyle.
   • If it is Saturday, there will be the traditional “Saturday Market”, a beautiful experience and a great market to explore. There is also the Sherpa Museum in Namche, which is a place to visit if you are interested in Sherpa’s culture and history.

5. Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

   • Today, you will have a very close-up view of Thamserku (6618m) and Ama Dablam(6814m). Also, you can see Mount Everest (8848) and some of the world's highest mountains.
   • On the way, you can see Nepal's national bird, Pheasant and another mountain animal called the Himalayan Thar. The trail contours through the yak pasture land until Kyangjuma (3550m).
   • From Kyangjuma, the trail goes down to the Dudh Koshi. After crossing a long suspension bridge, the trail ascends through pine trees. The magnificent view of Kangtega (6783m) will be on the right side of the trail.
   • After two and a half hours of walking, you will arrive at Tengboche (3860m). Tengboche is famous for the name of Tengboche Monastery. This monastery is open for a visit after four o’clock in the afternoon. Visiting Tengboche Monastery is an exciting part of the journey.
   • In the evening you can see an exciting sunset from the top of the world and other high mountains.

6. Day 6: Tyangboche - Khumjung

   • Trek to Khumjung, a beautiful mountain village from where you can see a magnificent view of Mt. Khumbila. You can also see the Yeti scalp in a monastery here.

7. Day : Khumjung to Monjo

   • Trek another beautiful day to Monjo and stay overnight.

8. Day 8: Monjo - Lukla

   • Enjoy a short walk along the valley before we make the final climb up to the airstrip at Lukla.
   • We will have lunch at our lodge, and you are free in the afternoon to wander around, relax, or perhaps take a hot shower.
   • In the evening, a farewell dinner may be followed by a few celebratory drinks with our Sherpa friends and crew.

9. Day 9: Lukla to Kathmandu Flight

   • Catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey.
   • After reaching Kathmandu, we can rest or do some souvenir shopping. If we want to explore other areas of Kathmandu, we may do that today.
   • Our guides can help you with both souvenir shopping and sightseeing.
   • There will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.

10. Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu

    • Our representative will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
    • Your tour concludes at the airport.
