Day 01
Mount Abu to Ranakpur and Bullet Baba Temple with Jodhpur Drop
- Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up from your stay in Mount Abu. Then, drive to the Ranakpur Jain Temple in Sadri, which will take about 3.5 hours.
- Arrive at the temple and explore the nooks and corners of this masterpiece. Ranakpur Jain Temple was built in the 15th century under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah, who was a follower of Jainism and a businessman by profession. He constructed the temple with the help of Rana Kumbha, the king of Mewar, whose condition was that the temple had to be named after him. There are four entrances leading to the main chamber. There are also five pillars in the temple, and each holds idols of various Tirthankaras. The biggest pillar, standing at the centre of all the others, holds an idol of Adinath.
- Head to the Bullet Baba Temple, about 2 hours away, and learn about the unique historical relevance of this temple. Also known as Om Banna, it is a shrine located in the Pali district near Jodhpur, devoted to a 350cc Royal Enfield "deity." Devotees worship the motorbike inside a glass box and believe it has "supernatural powers," given the mystical story behind its construction.
- Drive for about 45 minutes towards Jodhpur, where you will be dropped off at your desired place.
