Day 01
Bundi to Chand Baori, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Drop-off
- Get picked up in Bundi and depart for Chand Baori.
- Arrive at Chand Baori. Built over a thousand years ago in Abhaneri village of Rajasthan, Chand Baori is a deep four-sided well with a large temple in the background. The baori consists of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. It extends approximately 30 m (100 ft) into the ground, making it one of India's deepest and largest step-wells.
- After that, head to Fatehpur Sikri. The dynastic architecture of Fatehpur Sikri was modelled on Timurid forms and styles. The city was built primarily with massive red sandstone. Its architecture reflects both Hindu and Muslim forms of domestic architecture popular in India at the time. The remarkable preservation of these original spaces allows modern archaeologists to reconstruct scenes of Mughal court life and better understand the hierarchy of the city's royal and noble residents. It can be accessed through gates along the 8-km-long fort wall, namely Delhi Gate, Lal Gate, Agra Gate, Birbal's Gate, Chandanpal Gate, Gwalior Gate, Mehra Gate, Chor Gate, and Ajmeri Gate. The palace contained a summer palace and a winter palace for Queen Jodha.
- After the tour, guests will be dropped in Agra city at their place.
