Day 01

Tarangire National Park Safari

  • After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. It has a diverse landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones. The ancient baobab trees, the largest trees in Africa, overshadow the landscape and dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River attracts abundant wildlife, from elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes to various colourful birds. The park is famous for having the greatest elephant population in Tanzania.
  • During the safari, you will have the chance to quietly observe many families of elephants interacting, with a stop for an amazing picnic lunch at an observatory inside the park, where you will be able to spot animals drinking water in the river and, many times, lions attacking a thirsty zebra or wildebeest.

We will get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 02

Journey to Serengeti National Park

  • After an early breakfast, drive towards the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti, via a picturesque route. You will drive up the crater highlands, with a quick stop at the rim for an amazing view of the Ngorongoro Crater.
  • As you continue into the Serengeti, you will see why its name means "endless plains" in the local language. The park covers 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km), and the plains stretch to the horizon, defying your sense and perception of distance. It is home to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes, including abundant impalas and Thomson's gazelles. We can also spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas here.

Day 03

Early Safari and Transfer to Ngorongoro

  • Wake up early for an early morning safari before breakfast, when the animals are more active, and enjoy a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have.
  • After that, return to the camp for brunch, followed by a transfer to Ngorongoro, considered the 8th natural wonder of the world. With walls that are 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads across 102 sq. miles, it is home to almost every wildlife species indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhinos. In fact, the crater has the densest population of wildlife on the planet. It also contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake full of flamingoes, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants residing here have enormous tusks due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return to Arusha

  • After breakfast, descend 600 m into this magnificent crater for a morning game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the densest African wildlife areas in the world and is home to about 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. Assisted by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants.
  • Another plus point of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will enjoy an amazing picnic lunch in the crater.
  • Later, slowly head out of the crater and drive toward Arusha town.
