Philipsburg, Marigot and Grand Case Beach Escape
- Meet your tour guide outside the Philipsburg Cruise facility or at the square downtown, right in front of the courthouse on Front Street, and start your tour.
- Your first stop is a hilltop viewpoint overlooking Cole Bay and Simpson Bay, known for its marina full of yachts and famous lagoon - perfect for beautiful postcard pictures. From here, also take in the majestic Caribbean Sea and neighbouring islands like St Kitts, Statia, and Saba.
- After a short drive, stop at the symbolic Border Monument, erected to mark the 1848 treaty between Philipsburg and Marigot.
- You will then arrive on the northern side of the island in Marigot and explore its marketplace.
- Hike up to the famous Fort Louis. Built in 1789, it is considered the most important building in Marigot.
- Your last stop, and the main event of the tour, is the small village of Grand Case. Swim or relax on its white-sand beach and in its turquoise waters, then enjoy lunch at the local "Lolos," famous for grilled meats and tasty side orders, after returning from some of the best snorkelling around lively coral, fish, and other marine species.
