Discover two very different sides of the Buenos Aires region on this 2-day combo experience. On day one, head north to Tigre for a scenic excursion through the Delta, passing along Costanera Avenue, visiting San Isidro and its cathedral, and cruising among the waterways and islands that shape local life.

On day two, trade the river for the pampas with a full-day visit to Estancia Santa Susana. Enjoy a traditional welcome with empanadas and wine, explore the ranch by horse-drawn carriage, sit down to an Argentine BBQ lunch, and experience live tango, folk music, and classic gaucho demonstrations in the countryside.

Then sip on a glass of Mate (an Argentine drink of Yerba mate leaves steeped in hot water) and finish with a Pastelito (pastry)!

The itinerary

Day 01

Day 1: Tigre Delta Sightseeing Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel where you will be aboard a comfortable bus. The same will cross in its route by the Costanera Avenue that is parallel to the Río de la Plata offering us beautiful postcards of our river. The first stop will be at the City of San Isidro . Our guides will take you to know the beautiful Catedral de San Isidro and the popular mansions inhabited by old aristocratic families from Buenos Aires. Then they will get back on the bus to continue the journey to Tigre .

In Tigre we will board a Catamaran where we will enjoy a 40-minute tour of the Delta . We will enjoy the landscape of rivers and streams that cross forming numerous islands. You will be able to see the lifestyle of the local people and how they interact with the services that operate in a floating way in the Rivers: boats, rafts, Water taxis You will also see the houses built on stakes and the former president Sarmiento's house-museum.

At the end of the boat ride, you will return to the port to get back on the bus and make your way back to Buenos Aires.

Day 02

Day 2: Estancia Santa Susana

Depart Buenos Aires in a comfortable coach for the scenic ride through the Argentine pampas (plains) to Estancia Santa Susana, located in Los Cardales. When you arrive at this traditional Estancia (ranch), your day of gaucho fun begins with a friendly welcome reception at the ranch pub with Empanadas and wine.
Take a guided tour to some of Santa Susana’s attractions, including its museum and church, before enjoying a horse-drawn carriage ride to explore the grounds of the ranch.
Back at the ranch, tuck into a delicious parrillada (Argentina BBQ) lunch of grilled specialties such as sausages and chicken, accompanied by salad and beverages (red and white wine, soda, water and coffee). Then sip on a glass of Mate (an Argentine drink of Yerba mate leaves steeped in hot water) and finish with a Pastelito (pastry)!
During lunch, be entertained by a tango and folk show of classical music and dance, and watch an exciting Boleadoras show, with throwing weapons used by gauchos. When you’re done eating, the real entertainment begins as you watch the gauchos show off their incredible ranch skills. Be impressed by a ring race, animal herding and the Cuadreras race, a typical gaucho game.
When your day of fun on the ranch is over, you’ll be driven back to Buenos Aires.
