Description
Come and discover the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in the Southwestern part of Uganda on the edge of the Albertine rift valley. Get up close with the endangered Mountain Gorillas and also observe over 400 plant species and 350 bird species. Also, take a walk in Buhoma Village and interact with the African communities such as Batwa or Pygmies.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe – (Ngamba Chimpanzee Island)
- Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, our representative will meet you, transfer you to the hotel and give you a trip briefing.
- If time permits, you will take a boat trip to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, home to over 40 orphaned Chimpanzees, a worthy cause supporting the endangered wild chimpanzees throughout Uganda.
- You can also visit the wildlife education center in Entebbe and Entebbe Botanical gardens.
- If time permits, you can also have a tour around Entebbe town, a very historical town in Uganda and the Buganda monarch.
Overnight Stay: Boma Lodge or Standard

Day 2: Departure to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
- Our guide or driver will pick you up from the hotel to catch up with the scheduled flight to Bwindi. You can choose to go on a morning or afternoon flight. This 1hour and 58minutes Flight to Bwindi will accord you a memorable aerial view of the country’s charming landscape.
- On your arrival to either Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, get welcomed to the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. From the airstrip, get transferred with our vehicle to the lodge.
Overnight: Ishasha Wildness Camp or Standard

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
- Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for Gorilla trekking, starting at 8 am with a briefing from a wildlife official. Ensure to carry a rain jacket, drinking water, a snack, jungle boots and your cameras. The guides will lead you in groups inside the jungle to see the shy primates. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain Gorillas. Perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth, the tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours, but it is well worth the effort.
- The afternoon is spent on a village walk, with the Buhoma Village walk purposively selected to give you a great opportunity to experience the people's ways of life surrounding the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It is also a great way to offer direct support to the local Batwa / Pygmies community. This most informative and rewarding walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is an amazing opportunity to see how resourceful the local people are.

Day 4: Bwindi to Entebbe Airport
- You have 2 flight options returning from Bwindi National Park. You may catch the morning or the afternoon flight to Entebbe, whatever time is convenient for you. Our guide will be in handy to transfer you to the airport to catch your return flight from Entebbe.
