Lake Manyara National Park Safari from Arusha

• Meet your tour guide and depart early in the morning from Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park.
• Enter the park after completing registration at the gate. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania's birdlife, with more than 400 species recorded so far. Highlights include pelicans, cormorants, pink-hued flamingos, and storks.

Know before you go

Lake Manyara National Park is diverse, with over 670 flowering plants and fern species. The trees found in the park are densest in gorges, along the edges of streams, and in areas where springs emerge. It is also known for flocks of thousands of rare birds that feed along the lake's edge in the wet season. The park has a high population of large migratory mammals, including wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and Grant's gazelle.
