Join a small fly fishing lesson in the Cradle of Humankind and learn the basic techniques from an experienced instructor. No prior experience is required, making this an easy introduction to the sport in a unique South African setting. After the lesson, you are welcome to continue fishing on a catch-and-release basis for the rest of the day. COVID protocols and social distancing will be maintained, and a restaurant with meals and drinks is available on site.

Day 01

Introductory Fly Fishing Lesson in the Cradle of Humankind

• Meet your tour guide and begin your fly fishing experience as you make your way to the Cradle of Humankind.
• Learn the basics through a theory overview of fly fishing equipment setup and casting techniques, followed by practical casting and fishing guidance on the fishing dams.
• Enjoy fly fishing on a catch-and-release basis for the rest of the day after the lesson. An optional lunch is available at the on-site restaurant.
• Head back to your hotel or accommodation at the end of the tour.
