Karnak, Luxor and the Valleys of Ancient Thebes
This tour begins early in the day to avoid the harsh sun, especially in the summer months. Depart from Cairo and head to the first stop, Karnak.
Explore the Karnak Temple Complex, which is believed to have once been headed by God Amun. It is now a collection of ruins that your Egypt tour guide will tell you about.
Next, visit the Luxor Temple Complex, located on the east bank of the River Nile. It is believed to have been built in 1400 BCE.
Then, head to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, located on the west bank of the River Nile. These quiet stretches are the valleys where Ancient Egyptian kings and queens rest in eternal sleep.
The Temple of Hatshepsut, a mortuary temple in the Valley of the Kings, is considered incomparable to any other monument ever built.
Lastly, visit the Colossi of Memnon, which comprises two statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Then, head back to Cairo to be dropped off at your accommodation.
