Day 01

Arrival in Luxor and East Bank Temples

  • Meet your tour guide at Luxor Airport and transfer to your dahabiya for embarkation in Luxor at noon.
  • Enjoy lunch on board.
  • Head to the East Bank to visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple.

Have a delicious dinner and stay overnight on board in Luxor, on the West Coast.

Luxor West Bank Exploration

  • Visit the West Coast of Luxor.
  • Enjoy the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon.
  • Have lunch on board.

Day 03

Esna Lock and Temple of Khnum

  • Cross Esna Lock and have breakfast on board.
  • Visit the Temple of Esna, the Temple of Khnum. It is an ancient temple featuring an excavated Roman hall with many columns and colourful carved hieroglyphics.
  • Enjoy sailing on the Nile.

Day 04

Sail to Edfu and Visit Its Temple

  • Have an appetizing breakfast and sail to Edfu.
  • Visit the Temple of Edfu, located on the west bank of the Nile. It is one of the best-preserved shrines in Egypt. The temple was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth, and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt.
  • Relish your delicious lunch while sailing.

Day 05

Gebel El-Silsila and Kom Ombo Temple

  • Enjoy breakfast on board while sailing to Gebel El-Silsila.
  • Visit Gebel El-Silsila. From the New Kingdom onward, huge quantities of sandstone for temple building were quarried here, and during the New Kingdom, Gebel El-Silsila was of considerable religious importance as a place of worship of the inundation.
  • Have lunch during navigation.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, an extraordinary double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan.

In the village of Bassaw, you will visit a local's home and stay with him and his family. You will experience a day in Egyptian life and see how they really live.
  • Your meals on Eyaru will also have the Egyptian spirit in them. During your stay, all your meals will be real authentic Egyptian dishes. While visiting the local markets, you can even buy some fresh ingredients for your dinner that evening or buy some fish and fire up the grill on the patio. You will fully experience the Egyptian spirit. It is also possible to attend live cooking sessions for your dinner and learn local recipes that you can try on your return home.
  • Eyaru can be enjoyed all year round because of its main feature, its pergola. The pergola closes over part of the glass terrace, so there is no need to stay indoors during the cold months and miss the picturesque landscapes of the Nile during your stay. That is why Eyaru is the only Dahabiya that sails from Luxor to Aswan and vice versa.
  • Eyaru has no engines; it is towed remotely by a tugboat, so you never feel any disturbing sounds or vibrations during your trip. And for the first time on the Nile, Eyaru's staff stay overnight on the tug, so you can enjoy complete privacy on board.
