The itinerary

Day 01

From Cairo to Siwa Oasis

  • Meet your tour guide in Cairo and start the tour. Have lunch in Mersa Matruh, then continue to Siwa Oasis, arriving around noon. Make a short tour of the old oasis, or old Siwa.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02

Siwa Oasis Landmarks and Salt Lake

  • Visit Gabel Eldakroor and see some house-like museum displays to learn how houses are built in the oasis.
  • Explore Cleopatra bath. This is another part of the city built on the mountain.
  • See Gabel Elmawta (Mountain of the Dead), a cemetery at the top of the mountain.
  • Marvel at Fatnas bath and the salt lake, and enjoy the nice view.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03

Roman Ruins and Desert Springs

  • Visit Blad Elroom and see some buildings from Roman times.
  • See Shyatah, a lake in the middle of the Great Sand Sea.
  • Explore Ber Wahed, a spring in the middle of the sand.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04

Return to Cairo

  • After breakfast, drive back to Cairo to end the tour.
