Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Windhoek to Etosha via Okahandja

Pick up from your hotel at around 8:30 and drive north for about an hour to Okahandja, where you will visit the wood and craft market.
Continue the drive and have lunch en route before reaching Etosha National Park and entering through the Von Lindequist Gate.
Pass through different waterholes in search of animals, then arrive at the lodge and check in.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 02

Full-Day Safari Through Etosha

After breakfast, start driving west through waterholes and viewpoints in search of animals.
Take a lunch break at Halali and continue the drive to Okaukuejo.
On arrival, check in at NWR Okaukuejo and look out for animal activity at the waterhole at night.

Day 03

Etosha to Damaraland via Vingerklip and Twyfelfontein

After breakfast, drive southwest and stop at Vingerklip, a uniquely shaped rock. Climb the hill and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view.
Have lunch en route and visit Twyfelfontein to see ancient rock art.

Check in for dinner and an overnight stay at Madisa Camp.

Day 04

Damaraland to Swakopmund via Skeleton Coast

After breakfast, drive south and stop at Uis, a small town, for a break.
See Brandberg, the tallest mountain in Namibia.
Admire the unique ancient plant called Welwitschia.
Arrive at the Skeleton Coast and stop at Cape Cross to see the seal colony.
Have lunch en route, stop at the shipwreck, and continue to Swakopmund.

Overnight at Desert Breeze Lodge or similar.

Day 05

Swakopmund to Sossusvlei via Walvis Bay

After breakfast, visit different souvenir shops, historical buildings, and museums.
Drive south and stop at Walvis Bay, a small town, to admire the flamingo lagoon and salt lake.
Continue driving southeast, have lunch en route, and stop at Solitaire for a break.
Enter Namib-Naukluft Park and enjoy a sunset walk at Elim Dune.

Overnight stay at NWR Sossus Dune Lodge or similar.

Day 06

Sunrise at Deadvlei and Desert Excursion

Wake up early to catch the sunrise at Deadvlei and enjoy spending time there.
Go on a dune excursion before driving back to Sesriem for lunch.
Visit Sesriem Canyon and return to the lodge.

Day 07

Sossusvlei to Windhoek

After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time before driving back to Windhoek.
Have lunch en route, arrive in Windhoek in the afternoon, and get dropped off at your hotel.
