Day 01

St. Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai Sunset Climb

Meet your tour guide early in the morning at your hotel and transfer to St. Catherine Monastery. The drive through the desert takes about three hours.
Explore St. Catherine Monastery, the oldest Christian monastery in the world still in existence, which houses a rich collection of icons and precious manuscripts. It dates back to the 6th century.
Drive to St. Catherine city for lunch at a local restaurant in front of the mountains.
After lunch, climb Mount Sinai with a Bedouin escort. The mountain stands 2,285 metres above sea level, and it takes almost 2.5 hours to reach the peak. The route to the top is 7 km long and includes 750 steps.
Drive back to Sharm at the end of the trip.
