Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive in Colombo Airport to Pinnawala to Sigiriya

   • Be welcomed by your guide at the airport before your transfer to Sigiriya. 
   • Visit Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. This elephant Orphanage is set up especially for Abandoned or injured baby elephants. They are reared here and are trained to become working animals. Feeding and bathing in the river provide the best opportunities to see the animal’s close-up.
   • Go to Sigiriya and climb the Rock Fortress built by King Kasyapa the Patricide (473-491) who was considered a god-king. 
   • Encounter the remains of the Palace and its environs and see the famous frescoes. 

   Overnight stay at Sigiriya.

2. Day 2: Sigiriya to Dambulla to Kandy

   • Leave for Kandy via Dambulla. Visit the Golden Rock and the caves that house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place. From Dambulla, drive to Matale to visit a spice garden.
   • Check-in at the hotel and in the evening visit the temple of the tooth relic.
   • Experience a colourful cultural show where you can really taste the Sri Lankan culture.

   Dinner and overnight stay at Kandy.

3. Day 3: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

   • Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Admire the amazing variety of trees, plants, and flowers.
   • Leave for Nuwara Eliya. 
   • Visit a tea factory en-route to see how the world’s favourite drink is prepared. 
   • Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens, which houses an exotic collection of roses and ferns. 

   Overnight at Nuwara Eliya.

4. Day 4: Nuwara Eliya to Colombo to Negombo

   • Proceed to Colombo to view the St Clair’s and Devon Falls. Visit the location where the Oscar-winning movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed en route.
   • Enjoy an evening city and shopping tour of Colombo. 
   • Visit many of Colombo's historical, religious, and commercial sites, including the historic and bustling Fort and Pettah, the elite residential Cinnamon Gardens, the Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and much more. 

   Overnight stay at Beach hotel in Negombo.

5. Day 5: Negombo to Colombo Airport

   • Get up in the morning any time you wish. 
   • Spend the day in independent leisure activities. Go to the beach, the most popular natural attraction in Sri Lanka. The major beach resort on the West Coast is Negombo. 
   • Go to the fish market is also worth visiting. You can savour delicious fish here.
   • Go to the airport for departure.
