The itinerary

Day 01

Paper Making, Embroidery, and Uzbek Cuisine

  • Meet the guide at the airport or train station in Bukhara and transfer to Hotel Naqshband (standard rooms, B/B).
  • Start at 9:00 AM and spend 3 hours in an old-style handicraft master's room. Watch the preparation of 4 types of natural paper: silk, wooden, cotton, and oily paper. Travellers can also participate in part of the traditional paper-producing procedure.
  • From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, have lunch. Vegetarian and beef barbecue options are available.
  • At 2:00 PM, spend 3 hours learning about traditional and modern embroidery. Watch masters at work or participate in using natural colours and other procedures of sewing Suzane (national carpet).
  • From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, watch how national bread is prepared in a tandoor and how a national Uzbek meal is made. Dinner for travellers will be served in Uzbek style.
  • Watch a traditional dance and fashion show.

Day 02

Fruit Garden, Wooden Handicrafts, and Summer Palace

  • Savour breakfast at the hotel. You will be served juice from the Fruit Garden near the hotel. Travellers may also participate in picking grapes, apples, cherries, apricots, and other fruits.
  • At 9:00 AM, get to know Uzbek wooden handicrafts on a 3-hour tour. Travellers will be informed about the types of wood used in Uzbekistan, and you can also participate in a master class.
  • From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, savour a traditional lunch. Vegetarian food can also be served if travellers desire.
  • At 2:00 PM, travellers can take their luggage to their transport, and on the way to the train station they may stop at the Summer Palace of Bukhara. Admire the fantastic architecture of this palace on a 1-hour tour.
  • At 4:00 PM, travellers can transfer to the train station.
