Description
Explore Jozani Forest, famous for the rare red Colobus monkeys and Zanzibar Sykes’ monkey, a rare monkey species unique to Zanzibar. Make your way to Prison Island, an old quarantine station, headquarters of giant land tortoises and good snorkelling spots.
Itinerary

Day 1: Stone Town to Prison Island
- Pick up from the airport or harbour by your professional guide.
- Check-in at a hotel in Stone Town.
- Have lunch and thereafter hop in a boat and go to the Prison Island.
- Enjoy this 40 minutes boat ride and immerse yourself into the history of this island which was once a prison for slaves.
- Meet the giant tortoises and have an amazing time curdling and watering them.
- Enjoy sunbathing and swimming at the beach. Take the opportunity to go snorkelling as well.
Return to Stone town, where dinner at Forodhani is highly recommended.

Day 2: Stone Town to Jozani Forest
- Leave your hotel lobby early after breakfast to travel to Jozani Forest.
- Click wonderful photographs and spot some of the rare creatures living in the forest.
- Visit the Mangrove swamp and walk around the Mangrove forest.
Head back to Stone Town.

Day 3: Stone Town to Matemwe Beach
- Transit to Matemwe beach after a hearty breakfast.
- Take a 15-minute boat ride to see an island surrounded by more than 10 miles of stunning reefs that create a sheltered lagoon. The boats normally make a mini-diversion in search of dolphins. You shall be lucky if you see them and swim with them.
- Proceed for snorkelling and discover the rare marine creatures.
- Relax by the beach and then have fruits and water.
- Head back to Nungwi.

Day 4: Departure
- Engage in shopping for souvenirs on the last day and then depart for your home.
