Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti

   • Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and depart early from Arusha town at around 07.30 – 08.00 Hrs.
   • Drive across a beautiful and scenic Masai Steppe to Makuyuni junction and head towards the Serengeti National Park. You will be transported in a 4x4 Toyota Safari Land Cruiser, with a pop-up roof.
   • Descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
   • Head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River.
   • Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you to the best spots to observe the wildlife. Elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topi, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles can be seen in this large national park. 
   • Head to Seronera | Nyani Public Campsite in central Serengeti for dinner.

   Overnight at a Budget public campsite at Seronera (Seronera | Nyani Public Campsite). (For Lodge accommodation send a special request)

2. Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

   • Wake up early morning at 6 and after a hot cup of coffee or tea, leave the camp for morning game viewing to the heart of Serengeti national park, while enjoying the morning beautiful sunrise. Don’t forget your warm clothes. 
   • Continue the game drive till mid-day.
   • Drive back to camp for full breakfast and lunch (brunch).
   • Spend the half-day exploring wildlife around Serengeti. Often spotted in the Serengeti are elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards etc.
   • Leave Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation area. 
   • Enjoy a game drive en-route Ngorongoro campsite.

3. Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Back to Arusha

   • Head for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Catch a glimpse of the Masai way of life during the drive.
   • Drive around the rim of the Crater. Look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffaloes.
   • Descend into the crater, the floor of the largest unbroken caldera in the world also called the Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Spend this whole day at the Crater floor doing game drives in search of animals that can be spotted at very close range. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you will spot wildlife including, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals (silver-backed).
   • Have a picnic lunch which will most likely be taken at the Hippo Poolside Picnic site where you can also visit a washroom.
   • Continue with game drives in the afternoon as you head out of the Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Drive back to Arusha.
