Day by day

The itinerary

1
Day 01

Day 1: Buenos Aires & Puerto Iguazú

You will take a flight from Buenos Aires airport to Puerto Iguazu. Once you arrive, you will be transferred with a guide to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02

Day 2: Cataratas do Iguaçu - Brasil side

This day will start with pick-up at your hotel in Puerto Iguazu in the morning. With your guide, you will walk for roughly one hour along 1,000-meter path from Das Cataratas Hotel that will take you to a fabulous viewpoint of Devil's Throat, where the largest amount of water pours through Iguassu Falls. At 262 feet (80 meters), Devil's Throat is Iguassu’s largest individual waterfall and a definite must-see. 

Then, you will have time to buy lunch at one of the restaurants in the park, or, if you’ve brought a packed lunch with you, have a picnic at one of the park’s several scenic spots. You may also wait to have lunch when you get back to Puerto Iguazu. In the early afternoon, you will return to Puerto Iguazu and spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 03

Day 3: Cataratas de Iguazú - Argentina side

This day will start by a pick-up in Puerto Iguazu's hotel in the morning. You will explore the area in three parts, both with your guide and during free time to roam on your own. You will start 4 km train ride to the point where the Iguazu River turns into Iguassu Falls. You will disembark the train here to visit a viewpoint that overlooks Devil’s Throat, allowing you to enjoy another perspective of this stunning natural wonder. Next, you will tour the Upper Circuit, a 45-minute uphill walk that rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of many of thewaterfalls, including Dos Hermanos, Adam and Eve, Bernabe Mendez, Mbigua and San Martin. 

Lastly, you will head with your guide to the Lower Circuit, where trail provides incredible photo opportunities of lower falls such as Bossetti. You’ll then be transferred to the Visitor Center, where you will be able to take the train back to Devil’s Throat. During the day, you will have time to buy lunch at one of the restaurants in the park (your guide can offer suggestions), or bring a packed lunch with you from Puerto Iguazu to enjoy eating in the great outdoors. 

Finally, you will return to Puerto Iguazu in the evening and make the most of some free time to relax and savor dinner.

Day 04

Day 4: Puerto Iguazú & Buenos Aires

After breakfast, you will be able to enjoy more free time in Puerto Iguazu to pick up souvenirs or take a walk around town before you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires. There is a range of flight departure times, which you can choose after booking.

  • It is recommended you pack comfortable clothes and walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a reusable water bottle
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase (33 lb) and 1 carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage may have certain restrictions, please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable
  • Passport name, number, expiry and country is required at time of booking for all participants
  • Note: The flight is done on commercial airplanes (Boeing 737, Embraer 190 or Airbus 320/319).
  • Passengers MUST confirm and obtain any visa requirements prior to border crossing between Argentina and Brazil. All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler
