A transfer will pick you up at your hotel to start the excursion that will take you to Los Glaciares National Park. The National Park includes a scenario of mountains, lakes and forests, a large portion of the Andes Mountains covered with ice and snow to the west and the arid Patagonian steppe to the east. By his magnificent natural beauty, it constitutes a wonder in the world, and was declared "World Heritage" by UNESCO in 1981.

El Calafate - Puerto Bajo Las Sombras

Arrive at Bajo Las Sombras harbor after two hours and board a boat for a 10-minute ride to Brazo Rico. Meet your local guide, who will issue your trekking equipment. Hike down the shore of Lago Argentino and through the forest along Brazo Rico to Perito Moreno's base.

Important: For those who have chosen the option without transfers, this is where you will meet your guide who will give you all the necessary instructions.

El Calafate - Perito Moreno Trekking

In the South area of the National Park, it is the most famous of all the glaciers: the Perito Moreno Glacier. Always accompanied by expert guides, you will explore the corners of the most special glacier of the world and during the walk, the guides will help you learn more about the ice, its surroundings and you will be able to size the dimension of the glacier and enjoy the view of the nearby mountains. In addition, you will have half an hour to have lunch over the white blanket and be amazed in a place of unique beauty.

You will follow the boardwalks to strategically placed viewing platforms to witness the glacier from all angles and levels, and admire the surrounding mountain and forest scenery.

Pause to enjoy lunch at a scenic point, then retrace your steps to the glacier's edge, spending about 4 hours total on the ice. Return to the Rico Arm for the boat and bus journey back to El Calafate. Finish your day's adventure with drop-off at your hotel in El Calafate.
