Welcome to the world of the Indri - the famous teddy bear-like lemur and one of the biggest lemurs on the island. Enjoy the magical morning call of the Indri deep in the forest, along with visits to remarkable reptile reserves and the rich variety of other animals found in the national park. This 5-day journey also brings you close to Madagascar's unique wildlife in Andasibe and Mantadia, with opportunities to see lemurs from close quarters.

Day by day
Welcome at the international airport of Tana. Meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.
Overnight at one of the proposed hotels:
- La Varangue hotel.
- Lokanga Boutique hotel.
- Pavillon de L'Emyrne Palissandre hotel.
After breakfast, proceed along the RN2 to the east of Tana.
Stop at Peyrieras Reptile Reserve to spot reptiles endemic to Madagascar. This is a great opportunity to get close and personal with these amazing animals.
Lunch in Moramanga after a further 40 km of driving.
Visit the National Gendarmerie Museum, where you can see original exhibits related to peacekeeping and criminal acts.
Arrive in Andasibe late in the afternoon and settle into the hotel.
There is a possibility for a night walk to spot nocturnal lemurs, including some of the smallest lemurs in the world.
Overnight at the proposed hotel: Vakona Forest Lodge Andasibe hotel.
After an early breakfast, drive 18 km north of Andasibe to Mantadia National Park to look for the elusive black and white ruffed lemur and diademed sifaka.
Visit the private reserve of Vakona in the afternoon to watch lemurs from close quarters. This is the best place to see them, and you can even feed them bananas and stroke them.
Overnight at the proposed hotel: Vakona Forest Lodge Andasibe hotel.
Embark on your morning expedition to encounter the Indri, the world's biggest lemur, with an almost invisible tail.
See other species of lemurs such as the brown lemur, bamboo lemur, and woolly lemur, as well as other animals such as chameleons and the giraffe-necked weevil. Andasibe National Park hosts a great variety of wildlife, including 108 species of birds found in the park.
After lunch, drive back to Tana.

Before your transfer to the international airport of Tana for your return journey, a free city tour will be offered depending on the time available to you. This may include a visit to the Lemur's Park, located 23 km west of Tana, or the Queen's Palace, located 18 km north of Tana, or shopping time at La Route Digue on the way to the airport.
