6-Day Tanzania Safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro

• Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport, where you will meet your driver-guide.
• Drive to your accommodation in Kilimanjaro or Arusha, where you will have the chance to relax and prepare for the next day's safari ride.

• Wake up to the stunning views of Mt. Meru before heading out for breakfast.
• Traverse the Great Rift Valley floor as you head to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire National Park is named after the river that crosses through the park. It is Tanzania's sixth-largest park and home to large herds of elephants.
• Spend the afternoon exploring the park.
• Make your way towards the tented lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. The lodge is located on the edge of the escarpment wall overlooking Lake Manyara.

• Go for a long drive through arguably the best game park in the world.
• Head to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and then descend into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park. Here, massive concentrations of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals begin the annual Great Migration in search of new pastures, creating one of the greatest natural spectacles to be found anywhere in the world.
• Watch golden-maned lions stalking the migrating herds, spot leopards resting in trees at dusk, and take a hot-air balloon tour at dawn as the sun's golden rays illuminate the land. Meander your way through this famous park with fantastic game viewing as you head towards the tented camp in central Serengeti.
• Enjoy lunch under the acacia trees.
• Go for another game drive with a cool box of drinks to enjoy while watching the sunset.

Overnight stay in the Ndutu area. The meal included here will be breakfast.

• Enjoy a full-day game drive in the Ndutu area.
• Explore a range of different habitats, including swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains.
• See great herds of wildebeests and zebras. During a short time frame around February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, you can spot most of the wildebeest calves. The sea of grass provides little cover, and the young are easy pickings for various predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born, and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd.

Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

• Visit another natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater. This incredible formation is part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area, covering more than 8,300 square kilometres. The actual crater is 260 square kilometres and 620 m deep.
• En route to Ngorongoro Crater, rise early for a half-day game drive.
• Reach the crater floor as the sun begins to rise; you will undoubtedly be amazed by the natural phenomenon before you. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to about 25,000 animals and is one of the last places in Tanzania where the Big Five can be seen.
• Enjoy a picnic on the edge of one of the crater lakes as you watch elephants quench their thirst from afar.
• Drive to your accommodation to relax and enjoy a well-earned feast.

Overnight stay at Karatu Highlands. Meals included are breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• Leave Karatu after breakfast.
• Head back to Kilimanjaro or Arusha, where your safari tour ends.
