10-Day Galápagos Island Hopping Tour with Snorkelling and Wildlife

Arrive in San Cristóbal and transfer to the hotel.

Have lunch and visit Liberia, a mangrove beach where you can observe sea lions, marine iguanas, and frigate birds.

Walk along the cliff and spot swallow-tailed gulls and blue-footed boobies.

Return to the beach and look for sea turtles and sea lions.

Your first stop is Junco Lagoon, where you can usually see frigate birds drying their wings.

Take a boat trip for snorkelling around Lobos and Kicker Rock islands, looking for sea lions, marine iguanas, and many tropical fish species.

Enjoy a pleasant stop at a beautiful beach for lunch on board, then relax and swim around the beach.

After a short rest, take an easy hike up Frigatebird Hill to see the statue of Darwin, at the first anchorage point in the islands.

Your last stop is Playa Carolinas.

In the morning, fly to Isabela Island.

On arrival, visit the Wetlands, a RAMSAR site that hosts great biodiversity, including shorebirds, marine iguanas, and turtles.

Go to Las Tintoreras Islet to see Galápagos penguins, marine iguanas, sharks resting in a channel formed by lava, and Galápagos hawks.

Snorkel in the bay.

Hike to Sierra Negra Volcano, first by car and then on foot up to the crater. Continue to Volcán Chico. The lava flows are awesome!

Have lunch at a local farm.

• Optional: Instead of Sierra Negra, take an intensive hike to the sulfur mines of "Volcán de Azufre" with a boxed lunch.

Depart early by speedboat for Santa Cruz Island.

Visit the highlands, where you will see turtles in their natural habitat, lava caves, and the Twin Craters.

Have lunch, then hike to Tortuga Bay Beach, where you can see iguanas and shorebirds.

Take a trip to Floreana Island.

Go birdwatching in Enderby, snorkel at Lobería or Daylight, and visit the "Asilo de la Paz," known for giant turtles, pirates, and caves.
