8-Day Galápagos Island Hopping Tour with Kicker Rock and Sierra Negra

Arrive at San Cristóbal Island and transfer to the hotel.

Have lunch and hike to Lobería, a mangrove beach where you can observe sea lions, marine iguanas, and frigate birds.

Walk along the cliff and see swallow-tailed gulls and blue-footed boobies.

Returning to the beach, go in search of sea turtles and sea lions.

• Optional: Kayak tour to Playa Mann or Darwin Bay: $25 per person.

Your first stop is El Junco lagoon, where frigate birds are generally seen drying their wings.

Go to the Galapaguera turtle reserve and see the giant tortoises.

Hike to Puerto Chino, a white-sand beach where you can relax and swim before returning to port.

• Optional: Instead of Puerto Chino, hike at medium difficulty through a forest of giant cacti in the "Opuntia Garden" until "Veinte Varas".

Take a boat trip for snorkelling at Kicker Rock, looking for sea lions, marine iguanas, and many species of tropical fish.

Then enjoy a nice stop at a beautiful beach for lunch on board, followed by time to relax and swim around the beach before returning to port.

After a short break, take an easy walk to the hill of frigates and see the statue of Darwin, which was at the first place anchored in the islands.

The last stop is Playa Carola.

In the morning, take a flight to Isabela Island (40-minute flight).

On arrival, head to the Wetlands, a RAMSAR site that hosts great biodiversity, including shorebirds, marine iguanas, and turtles.

Then go to Tintoreras Islet, located off Isabela, where you can usually see Galápagos penguins, marine iguanas, sharks resting in a channel formed by lava, and Galápagos hawks.

Snorkel in the bay.

Hike to Sierra Negra Volcano, first by car and then on foot up to the crater.

Continue to Chico Volcano. The lava flows are awesome!

Lunch at a local farm.

• Optional: Instead of Sierra Negra Volcano, take an intensive hike to the sulfur mines of "Volcan de Azufre" with a boxed lunch.

Depart early by speedboat to Santa Cruz Island.

Visit the highlands to see turtles in their natural habitat, lava tunnels, and the Twin Craters.

Have lunch and continue with a tour to Playa Tortuga Bay, where you can see iguanas and shorebirds.

• Optional: Kayaking: $25 per person.

Take a trip to Floreana Island. Snorkel in Daylight or Lobería and visit "Asilo de la Paz" for giant turtles, pirates, and caves.

• Optional: Boat trip to an uninhabited island such as Plazas, Seymour, or Bartolome instead of Floreana: $61 per person.

Enjoy free time until your transfer to the airport.

• Optional: Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station (free entrance).
