We begin with pickup from your hotel, hostel, accommodation, or wherever you are staying between 7:30 am and 8:00 am in an air-conditioned vehicle. We will also pick up other travelers, so please be patient, as traffic can sometimes be an issue. Enjoy a panoramic drive through the beautiful city of Cartagena before taking the national highway, or Via al Mar, which connects Cartagena de Indias with Barranquilla, heading toward the rural area of Santa Catalina municipality, Bolívar, where you will see the distinctive landscape of the mud volcano and the Totumo Swamp.
The Totumo Volcano: Enjoy a relaxing mud therapy session at the top of Totumo Volcano, which rises to a height of 2,300 meters. It is filled with mud that locals call healing mud because of its therapeutic qualities, thanks to ingredients such as water, silica, aluminum, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and other minerals.
