Tirana to Prizren Heritage Tour
- Start at 8:00 am. After hotel pickup, head toward the Morina Border. Along the way, you will be able to spot the differences in rural life in Albania. Still vivid are the footprints of the Communist regime and the former industrial cities built during that period.
- Visit the fortress of Prizren. Also known as the "Crown of Prizren," it has been the site of some of the ancient settlements of the old city. It offers an amazing picturesque view of the city, where numerous mosques and minarets blend with churches, houses, and Turkish baths.
- Walk through Prizren to Sinan Pasha Mosque, situated in the heart of the city. It is the biggest and most visited mosque in the city. Still functional today, this mosque will amaze you with its elegant decor and the unique square shape of its main building.
- Continue the walk to the Albanian League of Prizren complex. Visit the House of the League and the Ethnographic Museum.
- Visit Our Lady of Ljevis Church. Closed for renovation, this 14th-century church is unique in its style and values. Now protected by UNESCO, it was heavily damaged in 2004. It was built by the same ruler as the Monastery of Gracanica, which is also part of UNESCO.
