Day 01

Ushuaia City Sights on the Way to the Park

On the way to the National Park, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city at the "End of the World." Visit some of the prominent tourist spots of the city, including:

  • Civic Square - where the national flag was hoisted for the first time.
  • The Old Government House.
  • Nuestra Señora de la Merced Old Church.
  • The old airport - from here, enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the mountain range that surrounds it.
  • "La Mision" neighbourhood.
  • Las Hayas Hotel viewpoint in the middle of the mountain. Behold an amazing panoramic view of Ushuaia Bay, the Beagle Channel, the harbour, and the Industrial neighbourhood.

Day 02

Tierra del Fuego National Park and Bahia Lapataia

The beautiful Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, the world's southernmost national park, is located 12 kilometres (approximately 7.5 miles) from Puerto de Ushuaia, the commercial port where cruise ships dock. The tour includes a few "low-impact" guided walks of 15 minutes each, a 30-minute snack and restroom break, and the remainder of the time in a comfortable van with your amazing guide.

  • Scenic Bahia Ensenada, location of Unidad Postal del Fin Mundo, where you will have the chance to have your passport stamped with a "Fin del Mundo" ("End of the World") souvenir passport stamp. (USD 3 each)
  • Stunning Lago Roca, where you will take a peaceful and charming walk with magnificent photo opportunities.
  • Centro de Visitantes, where you may purchase snacks and souvenirs while enjoying a panoramic view of the picturesque mountains, forest, and rivers.
  • Driving tour of Río Lapataia, Archipelago Cormoranes, Laguna Esmeralda, and Río Ovando.
  • Bahia Lapataia and the end of Ruta Nacional 3, the most southern point of the Pan-American Highway, where you will be able to take photos at the famous sign marking the distance in kilometres between Ushuaia and Alaska.

What to bring

  • Bring a bottle of water.
  • Dress for the cold (hat, gloves, scarves).
  • Dress in layers, as it is warm inside (van, stores) but pretty cold outside.
  • Walking shoes or hiking boots for wet/muddy ground are advised.
  • Waterproof jackets are also advised.
