From Tbilisi, travel to Dartlo in Tusheti and hike through remote Georgian villages along the Pirikita Alazani, across Atsunta, and onward to Mutso and Shatili. This 6-day trekking journey combines beautiful mountain scenery with nights in tents, guesthouses, or even with shepherds. Along the way, experience the rugged landscapes and village life of Tusheti and Khevsureti.

At a glance
Day by day
Transfer from Tbilisi to Dartlo in Tusheti, with stops in Alaverdi, including the hot springs, and in Tusheti's Omalo.
Overnight stay in a tent near Dartlo or in a guesthouse.
Hike along the Pirikita Alazani and visit the villages of Dano, Chesho, Parma, and Girevi.
Overnight in a tent near Girevi or in a guesthouse.
Hike along the river toward Atsunta (3431 m).
Overnight in a tent or with shepherds.
Cross Atsunta.
Overnight in a tent near one of the Khevsuretian villages or in a guesthouse.
Hike to Mutso and Shatili.
Overnight in a guesthouse in Shatili, in the fortress, or in a tent.
Transfer to Tbilisi with stops in Korsha and Chargali. Eat at one of the best Khinkali restaurants along the road.
This tour can go slowly with different stops, and there is a chance to rent horses. The tour can also finish in Shatili or continue to Kasbegi.
