The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival and Medellín City Tour

Pick up from the hotel or the airport, depending on your arrival time in Medellín.
Head to the center of Medellín to visit Plaza Botero, where you can see the 23 sculptures donated by master Fernando Botero.
Continue north to Parque de los Deseos, one of the most visited outdoor parks in the city, where you will also enjoy a typical snack.
Visit another outdoor park in central Medellín, Parque de los Pies Descalzos.
Continue to Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a typical Colombian town, and enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Medellín.
Later, head to the western part of Medellín and use two of the city's transport systems: the metro and one of the cable cars. From the cable car, see a large part of the city.
After the metro and cable car tour, have lunch at one of the restaurants.
After lunch, begin the tour of the famous Comuna 13, an area that was affected by violence for many years and is now one of the most visited places by foreigners who want to learn about its history and social transformation.

Day 02

Peñol and Guatapé Excursion

Travel to the east of Medellín for the Peñol-Guatapé tour.
Make your first stop for breakfast in the municipality of Marinilla.
After breakfast, continue to the municipality of Peñol and learn the history of this town, which was moved from its original site in order to build the reservoir for power generation.
See the replica of the flooded town and visit the reservoir, which is used not only to generate energy but also for boating.
Later, learn about the monolith called Peñón de Guatapé, considered one of the largest monoliths in Colombia.
Have lunch at Peñón de Guatapé.
After visiting this place, continue to the town of Guatapé, also known as the town of Zócalos, and admire the designs on the walls of the houses that make it such a colorful and striking town.
Enjoy delicious Colombian coffee.
Return to the hotel.

Day 03

San Francisco Cocoa, Waterfall and Wine Tour

Travel to the east of Medellín, toward the municipality of San Francisco, and learn about the cocoa process, known as "the food of the gods." Discover how cocoa is planted and enjoy a cup of chocolate.
Head to a waterfall, walk through the forest, and reach the falls for a refreshing bath.
Enjoy a wine tour, learn about the fermentation process, and taste some of the wines.
