Meet your guide at your hotel lobby and set out to explore some of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks in Sultanahmet. Visit Hagia Sophia, built in 537 AD as the world's first large domed building and the religious focal point of the Church for 1,000 years, later serving as a mosque during the Ottoman period and becoming a museum in 1935. Continue to the Blue Mosque, known in Turkish as Sultanahmet Camii, famous for the blue tiles that decorate its interior walls, and see the Hippodrome of Constantinople, the historic public arena once used mainly for chariot races. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
