Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Kathmandu to Chisapani via Sundarijal

Drive to Sundarijal and gradually hike through the pine and oak forest trail. The route through Shivapuri National Park offers a good spot for bird watching, and wild animals may also be seen during the day hike. It takes about 4-5 hours to reach Chisapani.
See a panoramic view of the Himalayas and the valley. This is one of the nearest Sherpa settlements to Kathmandu, where you can witness the culture and indigenous Sherpa lifestyle.

Day 02

Chisapani to Nagarkot Trek

In the morning, wake up to magnificent views of the northern mountains.
Hike to Chauki Bhanjag in around two and a half hours and stop for lunch.
Continue on the charming trail towards Nagarkot. The walk takes about 5-6 hours.

Day 03

Nagarkot Sunrise and Return to Kathmandu

Wake up early for a sunrise view and watch the Himalayan panorama through a Himalayan river valley.
Drive back to Kathmandu, or choose to hike for a couple of hours to Chagunarayan Temple, an ancient and artistic temple in Nepal listed as old heritage.
