Shark Cage Diving Adventure in Gansbaai

8:30 am - Meet at the starting point (depending on tide and weather conditions - the exact time will be confirmed with you the day before).
8:45 am - Enjoy breakfast, followed by an informative talk about sharks and the area.
9:30 am - Spend 3 to 4 hours at sea, depending on shark activity and sea conditions.
1:00 pm - Enjoy tea or coffee and watch the DVD of your trip.
3:00 - 4:00 pm - Arrive back in Cape Town (depending on lunch time).

Know before you go

Safety during cage diving is paramount. Divers will be supervised by a Dive Master, and we have all the required permits and safety equipment on board. We use a securely designed steel cage that floats on the surface, with divers no more than 1 m below the surface. All dives are breath-hold, which is comfortable and safe. This is common practice among Gansbaai shark cage diving operators - no experience required. The best way to see the sharks is to simply hold your breath.
For those not wanting to go shark cage diving, surface viewing can also be arranged. You will still get to see this amazing animal up close. The price is the same for diving and surface viewing.
Video and DVD footage of your adventure: the service of a professional underwater videographer who is highly experienced in this field is on board. Your personal shark cage diving trip to Gansbaai will be captured on a high-quality video/DVD (above and underwater), and a copy will be made available to you after the tour at a minimal cost.
