Go on a 17-day trek to the Gokyo summit via Chola Pass and experience a fascinating, scenic adventure through the high Khumbu of the Everest region in Nepal. Recognize the series of beautiful turquoise lakes in the Gokyo Valley and the famous Cho La Pass as you visit landmarks of the Khumbu region in the company of majestically soaring mountains, friendly Sherpas, colorful monasteries, Namche Bazaar, Sagarmatha National Park, and, of course, the base of mighty Everest.

Early in the morning, hike up to Kalapathar (5550 m) to see the sunrise view and mountain range, including Mt Everest.

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
  • Prepare for the trek and stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

  • Depart from Kathmandu to Lukla by flight, which takes around 40 minutes.
  • Have breakfast in Lukla.
  • After breakfast, trek to Phakding (2610 m).

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

  • Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m).

Day 04

Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

  • Spend the full day at Namche Bazaar, which will help you acclimatize to the climate.
  • Rest, relax, explore, and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

  • Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3868 m).

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

  • Spend the day at Dingboche, which will help you acclimatize to the climate.

Trek to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp

  • Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180 m).
  • Head to Everest Base Camp (5364 m).

Overnight in Gorakshep.

Kalapathar Sunrise Hike and Trek to Dzongla

  • Early in the morning, hike up to Kalapathar (5550 m) to see the sunrise view and mountain range, including Mt Everest.
  • Return to Gorakshep and have breakfast.
  • Trek to Dzongla (4830 m).

Cross Cho La Pass to Dragnag

  • Trek from Dzongla to Dragnag (4700 m) via Chola Pass (5350 m).
