The itinerary

Day 01

Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa

Take a flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Arrive at Gonngar Airport, drive to Lhasa (1 hour), and take a full rest for acclimatization.

Day 02

Lhasa Monasteries and Sacred Sites

Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery, and Sera Monastery.

Day 03

Full-Day Sightseeing in Lhasa

Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery, and Sera Monastery.

Day 04

Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse and Shigatse

Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and the high passes of Kora La (5,010 m) and Kamba La (4,794 m).
After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Gyantse, including Pholkor and Kumbum Monastery.
In the evening, enjoy a scenic drive to Xigatse (1.5 hours) through the typical Tibetan countryside.

Tashilhumpu Monastery and Drive to Xegar

Visit Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery and then drive to Xegar, crossing Gyatchula Pass (5,200 m).
