Enjoy a three-day camping safari from Arusha to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. Experience the majestic wildlife of three of Tanzania's best national parks: Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population; Lake Manyara National Park, where you can spot tree-climbing lions and colorful flamingos; and the "world natural wonder" of Ngorongoro Crater, with its 600-meter-high walls.

The itinerary

1

Day 01

Tarangire National Park Game Drive

• We depart today for Tarangire Park with a packed lunch, passing through the open plains south of Arusha town.
• During the dry season from May to October, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. Its wetlands in the southeastern portion of the park support over 300 varieties of birds. With fewer tourists than other parks, Tarangire's rolling savannah, dotted with thousands of baobab and acacia trees, offers a great chance to enjoy Africa's wilderness and solitude.
• Enjoy a full-day game drive, dinner, and an overnight stay at Nsya Lodge and Campsite or a similar campsite.

Day 02

Ngorongoro Crater Safari

• After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, passing through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the rim of the crater.
• Descend into the crater, one of the most densely crowded game areas in the world and home to nearly 40,000 animals.
• Enjoy a good chance of seeing the Big Five: lion, leopard, rare Black Rhino, buffalo, and elephants.
• Along with the Big Five, see herds of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelle.
• After a picnic lunch, continue the game drive and then depart the crater.
• Arrive at your accommodation at Nsya Lodge and Campsite or a similar campsite.

Day 03

Lake Manyara National Park Adventure

• After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch.
• Encompassing this area is Lake Manyara Park, which is often overlooked, but is game-rich and best known for its tree-climbing lions.
• Lunch will be served at the picnic site.
• Enjoy a full-day game drive, followed by an evening drive back to Arusha.
