The itinerary

Day 01

Hike Up to Machame Camp

• Meet your local tour guide at 8 a.m. and drive from Moshi to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park gate. It is a 50-minute drive from Moshi.
• Pass through the village of Machame, located on the lower slopes of the mountain. Upon arrival, leave the park gate and walk through the rainforest on a winding trail up to the ridge. The trail gets a little muddy as you go along, so trekking poles are recommended in this area.
• Continue walking for a short distance until you reach Machame Camp.
• Explore the vivid landscape before driving back to Moshi.
