The itinerary

Day 01

Mt. Kilimanjaro Hike to Mandara Hut and Maundi Crater

  • Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up at 8:00 am from Moshi early in the morning.
  • Drive for an hour to reach Marangu Gate. Upon arrival, complete the gate registration with the help of your guide.
  • Begin your Kilimanjaro day hike and walk along a narrow trail through the rainforest up to Mandara Hut. Along the way, you may meet mountain climbers descending from the summit as you continue on the trail.
  • Have lunch at Mandara Hut, then take a short walk to Maundi Crater.
  • Capture the breathtaking views to the east over Taveta and to the northwest over Mawenzi Peak. Your tour guide will assist you in taking photos near Maundi Crater before you descend to Marangu Gate.
  • Head back to Moshi after your Kilimanjaro hiking adventure ends.
