Day 01
Moshi Culture and Rau Forest Cycling Tour
- Meet your tour guide at 8 am and ride through the Majengo district of Moshi, also known as the heartland of Moshi art and handicrafts.
- Stop to check out the dizzying array of local crafts and hand-made goods arranged at the roadside markets.
- Pass through small farms and family houses, and see various local schools, mosques, and churches. Travel through the rice fields and see how Tanzania's staple food is grown.
- Meet local agriculturalists and enjoy a delicious lunch hosted by a friendly local family. Taste pilau, a traditional rice-based Tanzanian meal, as you spend time with the host family.
- After a brief break, continue the bike ride through Rau Forest, a tropical woodland brimming with wild animals, birds, flora, and fauna. Keep an eye out for the black-and-white faces of colobus monkeys peering curiously, and capture these fluffy-tailed monkeys.
- Make the last stop of the day at the old railway station. Absorb the German colonial feel as you sip a cold beer at the railway station bar at your own expense.
- Ride back to town after the tour ends.
