Day 01
Custom Washington, DC Landmarks and Memorials Tour
A sample itinerary could be:
- Meet at your hotel or near the White House.
- Begin with an introduction to Washington, DC, including why and how it was established and its history.
- Visit the north front of the White House and the historic sights around Lafayette Park.
- Walk to Pennsylvania Avenue and stop at the WWI Memorial.
- Walk to the National Mall, seeing the south front of the White House.
- Walk to the Washington Monument and enjoy the view. Going up the monument is not included except by special arrangement.
- Use the Circulator Bus or walk to visit a number of the famous memorials. Possibilities include Jefferson, FDR, MLK, Korean Veterans, Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans, WWII, and Einstein.
- Continue and end the tour at the west front of the US Capitol Building or at another convenient place.
