12-Day Kenya and Tanzania Wildlife Safari with Maasai Mara to Serengeti

Day 01

Arrival in Nairobi

• A professional English-speaking guide or driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel. You will then check in to your hotel in Nairobi for the night.

Day 02

Nairobi to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley

• Pick up from your Nairobi hotel at 8 am and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch.
• Check in and depart for a game-viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner.

Day 03

Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

• Spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five.
• Have a picnic lunch in the Reserve and take in the beauty of the Mara, situated on the banks of the Mara River. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 04

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

• After breakfast, check out and commence the drive to Nakuru. Spend the night at the Lanet Mat Fam Hotel and have dinner there.

Day 05

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate

• Depart at 7 am and start the trip to Lake Naivasha/Hell's Gate National Park for a mini safari.
• It is a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos, which form part of the Big Five animals. There is also a possibility of seeing the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 1-hour drive to Naivasha at Hell's Gate National Park.
• Enjoy an evening boat ride on Lake Naivasha for hippo viewing and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Villa Grazia Hotel.

Day 06

Lake Naivasha to Namanga Border

• Enjoy breakfast at the resort and then proceed to Namanga, the border town of Tanzania. Accommodation will be at the Namanga River Hotel.

Day 07

Namanga and Arusha to Manyara National Park

• Drive to Arusha and join a group for Manyara National Park. Manyara is a 2-hour drive from Arusha, and it is a small park.
• Enjoy a game drive after lunch until evening. Dinner and relaxation at the Seronera Campsite.

Day 08

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

• Enjoy breakfast and then leave for Serengeti.
• Arrive and start the game drive en route to the camp.
• Continue with more game drives in the afternoon until late evening. Dinner and relaxation at the Seronera Campsite.

Day 09

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

• Set out for early morning game drives in Serengeti until 1 pm. Depart after lunch.
• Enjoy a game drive en route to Ngorongoro and arrive at Simba Campsite to spend the night there. Dinner and relaxation at the Simba Campsite.

Day 10

Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park

• Have breakfast and leave for the Ngorongoro safari game drive with a picnic lunch.
• Depart after 1 pm and start the drive to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 11

Tarangire National Park to Arusha

• Have breakfast, then leave for a game drive until 1 pm and start the drive to Arusha. Dinner and overnight stay at Venus Premier Hotel.

Day 12

Arusha to Nairobi

• Have breakfast, then board a shuttle to arrive in Nairobi at around 3 pm.
