The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kigoma

• Pick up from Kigoma Airstrip and transfer to the hotel on the lakeshore for the night.

Preferred Kigoma Hilltop Lodge.

Day 02

Boat Transfer to Gombe and Chimpanzee Tracking

• After breakfast, transfer to Gombe Stream National Park by boat.
• Go on a chimpanzee tracking excursion through the park.
• In the late afternoon, check in at the lodge in the park.

Preferred Gombe Forest Lodge.

Day 03

Full-Day Chimpanzee Tracking and Kakombe Waterfalls

• Enjoy a full day of chimpanzee tracking, accompanied by an armed ranger through the park.
• Climb to Kakombe Waterfalls.
• Return to the lodge for the night.

Day 04

Departure from Gombe to Kigoma

• Transfer to Kigoma for a flight back to Arusha/Dar es Salaam.
