The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley

  • At 8 o'clock, you will be picked up from your hotel in the city centre to join a group and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch.
  • In the evening, head out for a game drive in the Mara. Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner, then enjoy a restful night at the camp.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve

  • Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. Have picnic lunch in the reserve as you make your way to the banks of the Mara River. Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourist destination in Kenya.
  • Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve's western escarpment. It is regarded as the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas.
  • The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly any visitor misses spotting the Big Five. This phenomenal wildebeest migration, seen in Masai Mara, is considered one of the wonders of the world.

Day 03

Drive from Masai Mara to Nakuru

  • After breakfast, check out and commence the drive to Nakuru.

Dinner and overnight at Lanet Matfam Resort or similar.

Day 04

Lake Nakuru Safari and Lake Naivasha Boat Ride

  • Take a private safari to Naivasha/Hell's Gate. Have an early breakfast and depart by 7 am for the park. It is a small park with magnificent rare white rhinos, which form part of the Big Five animals. There is also a possibility of seeing the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours.
  • Depart on a 3-hour drive back to Naivasha.
  • In the afternoon, go for an hour-long boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing, and visit Crescent Island Sanctuary for a unique walk with wildlife. The sanctuary is home to giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and hippos, among other wildlife likely to be found at the conservancy. Birds include fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Villa Grazia.

Day 05

Hell's Gate Biking Safari and Return to Nairobi

  • After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Hell's Gate for a biking safari with a visit to the gorges.
  • Later, drive back to Nairobi with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
