The itinerary

Day 01

Paarl Wine Tasting and Historic Sights

Pick up from hotel at 09:00 and drop off at 17:30.

Drive through Paarl Main Road for an architectural and historical overview.
Visit the Language Monument, erected on the foothills of Paarl Mountain, to celebrate the history and development of the Afrikaans language.
Enjoy wine tasting at the Fairview Estate, owned and run by Charles Back, who also owns The Goats do Roam Wine Company and The Spice Route Winery.
The next tasting will be at KWV, a leading South African wine and spirits producer with a distinguished heritage, for chocolate and wine tasting.

Day 02

Franschhoek Monuments, Shops, and Wine

Stop at the Nelson Mandela Monument. The statue was unveiled in August 2008 in the presence of Mandela on the occasion of his 90th birthday. It is located at a low-security prison between Paarl and Franschhoek.
Walk around the town of Franschhoek and see the beautiful shops.
Eat lunch at a restaurant of your choice or based on a recommendation.
Enjoy wine tasting at Grande Provence. This is heartland South African wine country at its very finest.

Day 03

Stellenbosch and Hells Hoogte Pass

Enjoy a scenic drive through Hells Hoogte Pass.
Do wine tasting at Delaire Graff.
Drive through Dorp Street for its unique history and architecture.
Stroll through South Africa's second-oldest town for its many national monuments and trendy shops.
Enjoy wine tasting at Kanonkop, time permitting, with a view of Table Mountain before departure.
