Description
This 9-day Rwanda tour allows you to explore all that the country has to offer. Enjoy a city tour in Kigali and proceed to Akagera National Park and Volcanoes National Park for a safari ride through the wildlife-laden landscapes. Indulge in a Golden monkey trek, as well as the famous gorilla trekking, with a visit to the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village. Transfer to Lake Kivu and explore the islands. Taste Rwanda's finest coffee and head to Kibuye before finally ending the trip back in Kibali.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
- Pick up from Kigali International Airport.
- Do a city tour and transfer to Akagera National Park.
Check in at Akagera Game Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Akagera Game Drive and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
- Early morning, go for a game drive up to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risers before they go into hiding.
- Have a chance to see zebras, antelopes, giraffes, Elephants, Buffalos, bushbucks, lions, among others.
- Exit the park and proceed to Kigali for lunch.
- Transfer to Kinigi.
Check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay on a full board basis.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park
- Upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park, take a guided walk to the neighbouring villages and volcanoes.
- Visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
Dinner and overnight stay; rest in your lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkey & Gorilla Trekking and Iby’wacu Cultural Visit
- Upon rising, enjoy breakfast and report at the Kinigi park offices.
- Engage in a morning briefing on the monkey trekking code of conduct provided by the Park Warden.
- After this, embark on your Gorilla Trekking expedition. Once you locate the amazing creatures, enjoy an hour with them.
- Head towards the starting point to meet your guide and return to the lodge.
- Have lunch.
- Enjoy a visit to the Iby’wacu Cultural Village for cultural entertainment and enrichment.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Kivu
- Upon waking up, enjoy your morning coffee.
- For your transfer to Lake Kivu, driving via Butare to Gisenyi Province, enjoy the countryside's wonderful views covered in rolling hills.

DAY 6: Full Day Boat Ride to Lake Kivu Islands
- Enjoy wonderful boat rides to some of Lake Kivu’s Islands, such as the: Virgin Islands, Napolean’s Hat Island, as well as the Nyamirundi Island – the renowned coffee manufacturing industry.
- While at Nyamirundi, learn the various steps through which Rwanda’s finest coffee is brought to the table.

Day 7: Head to Kibuye
- In the morning, have breakfast at leisure and get ready for your transfer to Kibuye.
- On arrival at Kibuye, enjoy a boat ride, interaction with cultural communities, and whisk your way amidst tea plantations.

Day 8: Morning Departure from Kibuye to Kibali
- Transfer from Kibuye to Kigali.
- Enjoy a market visit for shopping.

Day 9: Departure
- Engage in a Kigali City tour to the Gisozi, Genocide Memorial Site, local shops and market centres.
- Post city tour, proceed to the airport.
