Travel to Chiapas on this 5-day, 4-night adventure and discover some of the state's main tourist attractions. Enjoy a boat tour through the amazing Sumidero Canyon, visit the magical town of Chiapa de Corzo, admire the Agua Azul and Misol Ha waterfalls, explore the archaeological zone of Palenque, and see the Chiflón waterfalls and Montebello lagoons. Along the way, enjoy a pleasant four-night stay at Hotel Grand Maria in the wonderful Magical Town of San Cristóbal de las Casas.

Our destination will then be the Agua Azul Waterfalls, where we will have 2 hours to appreciate the incredible turquoise blue of their waters.

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival Transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas

Transfer from the airport to your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
We will pick you up at Angel Albino Corzo Airport in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez and transfer you to Hotel Grand Maria, Superior Tourist category, in the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas.

Day 02

Chiapa de Corzo and Sumidero Canyon Boat Tour

After pickup from your hotel, we will travel to the magical town of Chiapa de Corzo, where you will take a boat ride through the impressive Sumidero Canyon. The boat tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
During the journey, you will be able to observe a great diversity of regional flora and fauna, as well as waterfalls, caves, and the majestic canyon.
After returning to Chiapa de Corzo, you will have time to see the Mudejar-style fountain, visit the Church of Santo Domingo, and buy crafts made in the region.
At the end of the tour, we will have some food. We will leave Chiapa de Corzo at 2:30 pm and arrive in San Cristóbal de las Casas at approximately 4:00 pm.

Day 03

Agua Azul, Misol-ha and Palenque Archaeological Zone

After pickup from your hotel, we will travel to the city of Ocosingo for a buffet or a la carte breakfast at the restaurant "Mi Ranchito" (not included), with an approximate stop of 50 minutes.
Our destination will then be the Agua Azul Waterfalls, where we will have 2 hours to appreciate the incredible turquoise blue of their waters.
We will continue to Misol-ha, where you can admire a beautiful waterfall more than 20 metres high.
At the end of the visit, we will stop for 1 hour for food (not included) at the restaurant in the same ecotourism centre or at the Axkan Hotel in Palenque.
Our last stop will be the enigmatic archaeological zone of Palenque, where the Mayan buildings can be appreciated amid the exuberant vegetation of the jungle.
At the end of the tour, we will leave Palenque at 4:30 pm and arrive in the beautiful city of San Cristóbal de las Casas at approximately 10:00 pm.

Day 04

El Chiflón Waterfalls and Montebello Lagoons

After pickup from the hotel, we will travel to the beautiful El Chiflón waterfalls, where we will hike past different waterfalls until reaching Velo de Novia, which has a drop of more than 120 metres.
We will then continue to Lagunas de Montebello National Park, visiting 5 lagoons: Tziscao, Internacional, Pojoj, 5 Lagos, and the main Montebello lagoon.
Food will be taken after visiting the first two lagoons, with 1 hour for lunch. The typical restaurants within Lagunas de Montebello National Park are recommended, and afterwards we will continue across the remaining lagoons.
Departure from the national park will be at 6:00 pm, arriving in San Cristóbal de las Casas at approximately 8:30 pm.

Day 05

Departure Transfer to Tuxtla Gutierrez Airport

We will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to Angel Albino Corzo Airport in Tuxtla Gutierrez for your onward journey.
