This tour takes you to two of Tanzania's natural wonders: Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Dubbed 'Africa's Garden of Eden', the Ngorongoro Crater hosts a diverse range of wildlife, including the exceptionally rare black rhino. Explore Serengeti National Park, famous for the annual wildebeest migration, and enjoy a memorable safari experience filled with breathtaking scenery and rich populations of game.

The itinerary

Day 01

From Moshi or Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Depart from Arusha, Moshi, or the airport early in the morning and travel to Serengeti National Park along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. The golden savannah and endless plains, teeming with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on Naabi Kopje, a small rocky hill in a generally flat area, where you will have the opportunity to view Serengeti's famous pink-headed lizards.
After lunch, continue further into the plains for a leisurely game drive.
Return to your accommodation in the evening. You will spend the night at the Serengeti Camp and fall asleep to the playful calls of zebras and hyenas. Comprehensive camping facilities will be made available.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the campsite, begin the day in the heart of the Serengeti. The animals found here are extremely diverse, so travellers will likely enjoy views of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, water buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest. In addition, elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes are all found within the park. There is wildlife in the Serengeti all year round, so there is no need to worry about the time of year of your safari.
After the day-long game drive, a delectable dinner will be served at the campsite in Seronera.

Day 03

Serengeti Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

This day marks the last game drive in the Serengeti before making your way to Ngorongoro Crater. After an exciting game drive full of animal sightings and a picnic lunch, continue on to the crater.
Tonight, stay at Simba Camp overlooking the unbroken caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. The sunset views over the savannah are absolutely breathtaking. After a long day of adventuring, guests will enjoy a tasty dinner prepared by the friendly cook.

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return to Moshi

After an early morning breakfast, head out for game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater, when it is the best time to spot animals. You will see many of the hundreds of birds found here, as well as larger animals lazing, hunting, and strolling through the habitat. Due to the animal 'oasis' created within the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting every member of 'The Big 5'. The group includes some of the strongest animals in Africa - the ferocious lion, the giant elephant, the stealthy leopard, the charging rhino, and the mighty water buffalo.
In the afternoon, a picnic lunch will be served by the side of a small lake in the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds, making it a delightful place to visit. Flocks of graceful flamingos gather along the Soda Lake, while hungry hawks and vultures circle the sky in search of their next meal from discarded carcasses. Beautiful storks, ibis, and cranes are also popular waterbirds in the crater, a sight not to miss.
After a lovely afternoon of animal sightings, begin the journey back to Moshi. Arrangements for transportation to the airport can be made on request.
