Vajdahunyad Castle, a castle in the City Park of Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1896 as part of the Millennial Exhibition, which celebrated the 1,000 years of Hungary since the Hungarian Conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895.
Andrássy Avenue, a boulevard in Budapest, Hungary, dating back to 1872. It links Erzsébet Square with Városliget. Lined with spectacular Neo-renaissance mansions and townhouses featuring fine facades and interiors, it was recognised as a World Heritage Site in 2002.
Castle District, whose streets and leafy promenades feature Habsburg monuments and cafes, including the early 19th-century Ruszwurm. Key attractions include Buda Castle, a palace razed and rebuilt over centuries, now home to the Hungarian National Gallery and Budapest History Museum. Gellért Hill, a 235 m high hill overlooking the Danube in Budapest, Hungary. It is located in the 1st and 11th districts. The hill was named after Saint Gerard, who was thrown to his death from the hill.
