Day 01

Pinnawala Elephants, Royal Botanical Garden and Kandy Viewpoint

Pickup at 7.00 a.m. from your hotel, then drive to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see milk feeding and elephant bathing.

Visit the Royal Botanical Garden, covered with colourful flowering plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species, and palm family trees. More than 4,000 varieties can be seen here, including the world's giant bamboo tree species, which are found only here.

There are more than 100 species of ferns, and the garden also features the largest variety of orchid plants, along with lotus and water lilies grown in artificial ponds.

Finally, head to the viewpoint of Kandy.
