The itinerary

Day 01

Airport Pickup and Negombo Beach Stay

You will be picked up from the airport and driven to Negombo. There, you can visit the largest fish market and relax on the beach. Stay overnight in Negombo.

Day 02

Negombo to Hikkaduwa via River Safari and Coral Reefs

Drive to Hikkaduwa. On the way, you can enjoy a Madhu River boat safari and experience natural fish therapy for relaxation. Then visit the coral reefs and enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling under the safety supervision of well-experienced professionals. The Hikkaduwa coastal area is most suitable for surfing from November to April. Stay the night in Hikkaduwa.

Day 03

Hikkaduwa to Mirissa via Galle Fort

Drive to Mirissa. On the way, visit the World Heritage Site of Galle Fort, which was built by the Portuguese and reconstructed during the Dutch period. Next, see stilt fishing before continuing to Mirissa. Stay the night in Mirissa.

Day 04

Whale Watching and Beach Activities in Mirissa

The dolphins and whales watching tour begins at 6:00 a.m., and you will spend nearly 4 hours on the experience. Later, enjoy beach activities such as kayaking, canoeing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, and tube rides. Relax in the evening and stay the night in Mirissa.

Day 05

Mirissa to Arugam Bay via Hummanaya Blowhole

Drive to Arugam Bay. On the way, you can visit the Hummanaya blowhole and a turtle hatchery. The Hummanaya blowhole pumps seawater up to 40 feet through a natural hole between two close rocks and splashes water into the sky. Arugam Bay is a very popular surfing destination in Sri Lanka. Stay the night in Arugam Bay.

Day 06

Arugam Bay Surfing and Wildlife Excursion

Low-cost tuk-tuk tours can be arranged early in the morning to visit wild elephants and crocodiles. Spend the evening relaxing in Arugam Bay. Stay the night in Arugam Bay.

Day 07

Arugam Bay to Airport Drop-off

There are no itinerary plans for this day, and you will be dropped back at the airport according to your flight departure time.
