5-Day Sri Lanka Sightseeing Tour with Sigiriya and Wilpattu

• Get picked up from the airport and then drive to Negombo.
• See the largest fish market and relax on the beach.

Stay overnight in Negombo.

• Visit the Royal Botanical Garden, where you can see colourful flowering plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species, and palm family trees. Altogether, more than 4,000 varieties can be seen here.
• Enjoy a Kandyan dancing event in the evening between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.
• Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the most sacred molar tooth of Lord Buddha is placed in seven golden caskets under a golden ceiling.

Spend the night in Kandy.

• Get picked up before 8.00 a.m. from your residence in Kandy and drive straight to the Sri Muththu Mari Amman (kovil) Hindu temple, the tallest and most colourful Hindu temple in the country.
• Your second destination is the Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest and best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. The caves were converted into a temple complex by King Walagamba during the 1st century. There are about 153 Buddha statues and murals covering 2,100 square meters. You will need around one and a half hours to cover the entire temple complex.
• Following that, enjoy remarkable tourist activities in Sigiriya, including a village tour to experience ancient village life and day-to-day activities. This includes oxen cart rides, catamaran rides, a walk towards the paddy fields, a cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods, and a traditional meal.
• In the evening, visit the eighth wonder of the world, which contains huge walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stone arches, mirror stone, and the world-famous Sigiri paintings. It is an isolated rock kingdom more than 200 m in height. You will need to spend more than two and a half hours here.

Stay overnight in Sigiriya.

• Set off on a hot air balloon ride. This one-hour journey begins at sunrise and floats over the jungle, geographical beauties, lakes, wildlife habitats, and ancient villages. Dambulla is an iconic place that offers safe and enjoyable hot air balloon rides under the supervision of an internationally recognised institution with well-qualified and skilful staff. The pilot will guide you throughout the flying hour for a safe and enjoyable ride.
• Continue to Wilpattu National Park. The safari starts at 2.00 p.m., where you can explore the natural habitats of wild animals, including the Sri Lankan leopard and Sri Lankan sloth bear. Wilpattu is the largest national wildlife reservoir and one of the most attractive parks in Sri Lanka. You can spend 3-4 hours there before driving back to the hotel in Wilpattu.
